Organized by Coffee Association Guangzhou China, Guangzhou Barista coffee school is going to open. This is the first professional barista training school in China till now.

As the rapid development of coffee industry in China, the demand for professional baristas increases, but few people are qualified, which greatly blocks the further improvement of industry quality. As the data shows, the gap of barista lack only in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Pearl River Area had already reached one thousand. Thus, to standardize the operation of coffee making is urgent, with the aim of internationalization, standardization and specialization.

The school says that licenses are all in the process and the location is confirmed at Guangzhou Yang Ming International Coffee Trade Center with total area of more than 400 sqm. The school is mainly open to coffee trader and coffee lovers. It focuses on the skill training, coffee culture promotion and the self-ability improvement of baristas. The courses is divided into three levels: preliminary barista learning, vantage barista training and higher barista training, including all kinds of courses from theory explanation, hand-on coffee training  to different beverage making. Students who pass serial examines at the end of the course can receive the state approved job qualification certificate and barista certificate.
